Super Snoozy Levi...

Q:What do you get when your 2 year old wakes up at 3AM and refuses to go to back to bed?
A: You get a really cranky bear to deal with all day, AND
a  SUPER SNOOZY bear who falls asleep quickly at bedtime.
Oh, and one REALLY tired Daddy, who took the night shift, so Momma could sleep.  (At least he's cute, though, right?)

Aaron is 10!

It's hard to believe that ten years ago we were bringing home our first baby. Aaron has grown so much, and it just seems to have happened overnight. We are so proud of you, Aaron!

 Then and now.

A watch and puzzle from mom and dad...

...spy goggles and jacket from Grandpa Lane and Grandma Carol...

...remote control truck from Papa and Grandma J...

...and a good book from Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tony.

Happy birthday, Aaron! We love you!

Celebration of Life

Bodega Bay

This last weekend Matt and I flew to California to attend a memorial service for his Grandma Rose, who passed away a few months ago. She asked to have just a party where people gather to remember her rather than a formal funeral. On Saturday, (before the luncheon which was on Sunday,)  we went to go see the ocean at Bodega Bay, which isn't too far from Santa Rosa, where we were staying with Matt's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tony.

Matt and I at Bodega Bay, CA.
Lane (Matt's dad) across the way in the blue shirt.

As we walked out to get a better view we saw this really cool little frog/toad that we thought the kids might like a picture of.
Carol(Matt's mom), Matt, and his Aunt Kathy
There were these really pretty bright yellow flowers all along the ground near the ocean.

(The area that is still dirt is where we are going to build our deck, in case anyone was wondering...)

Back Yard Transformation Continued...

This is the truck that our sod came on. it was huge!
This is the view from one of our upstairs bedrooms.
View looking towards the third car garage and gate.
(Eventually we'll put a pathway through the rock, so it's easier to walk through.)
View looking towards our longest expanse of fence...
 looking down the fence...
 side yard

8 pallets of sod, or roughly about 4000 sq. ft

Almost everything is done. The sprinklers are installed, the rock border with drip line is in and so now we are just waiting for the sod to go down. It rained all day today, and those poor workers got soaked, so they will be back tomorrow to finish the sod!
(More pictures will follow soon!)

2 Birthday Boys, 1 Party!

This Saturday we had a family birthday party for Levi and Caleb. Levi celebrates his birthday on the 1st and Caleb is on the 5th. So we had a party for them both! We had a lot of fun and I honestly can't say why we didn't take more pictures, other than maybe we were having too much fun to think about the camera too much. Here's the double birthday celebration!
