Seth's Blessing

Caleb's Announcements...

Caleb's Baptism

Caleb was baptized yesterday! We are so proud of our not-so-little anymore Caleb. He had both sets of grandparents there, and Aunt Jerri and Jason and Uncle Jordan and Spencer there to witness this special day. We are so proud of the wonderful young man he is becoming. We love you, Caleb!

(PS I will add a few more pictures once I get them off of other people's cameras!)

Corn Maze for Caleb

Last year we promised Caleb that he could have a birthday party this year. That was before we found out that I was pregnant. When Caleb found out when our new baby was due the first thing he asked was whether or not he still got to have a birthday party. It kind of broke my heart a little bit and i promised him that he would get to have a party, no matter what.
Well, my plan was to have his party in August, a couple of weeks before his Sept. 5th birthday, and before the baby was born.
That plan got blown away when I went on bed rest the 1st week of August and Seth arrived 11 days early, on the 18th.
With recovering from having a baby and going back to school, and planning Caleb's baptism (next week!) the only week we could find to celebrate was this weekend, on the 22nd- which is actually Aaron's birthday. Aaron was kind enough to share his day so that Caleb could still have a little party. (What a great kid Aaron is, huh?)
Matt took Caleb and 3 of his friends to a local corn maze and then back to our house for cupcakes. I think they had a good time! Here's the photos:

They got to watch the pumpkin launcher.
They also got to try the gourd launcher themselves.
None of the boys would get into a "girl head", so there are 2 boys in the first head hole.
At home, opening presents. Thanks to all the boys who came and made Caleb's day!

Cub Scouts, Beginning and Ending

Caleb has been so excited to finally be a Cub Scout! He sat by and watched, enviously, as Aaron got to build pinewood derby cars, go to day camp and do all the fun things that Cub Scouts do. It is finally his turn!

Aaron, however, will turn 11 this week, so he has graduated out of Cub Scouts and is moving on to the 11 year old scouts. He is very much excited, too!
Here's a picture of my Cub Scouts,  (Cub Master, Webelo and Wolf) for the only week that they overlap:

Levi has a few years before he can join, but he wanted in the picture. (I suppose we can call him our future cub scout.)

Aaron has worked really hard to earn his Arrow of Light. At tonight's pack meeting he received his Arrow and got to walk on the bridge as he crossed over to Boy Scouts. We also have a tradition in our pack that we paint the boys face to symbolize his journey through cub scouts. Here's the photos...

and here he is, pinning his Mom (me!) with the Arrow pin...
