Girly Cousins!

Kellie loved having girly cousins to play with! Even the bigger girls would play dress up with her and she loved all the attention- fixing hair, painting nails- she was in little girl heaven with all those girls!

Movie Hat

When we were packing for our trip I had a last minute thought to pack my sun visor. After all, we would be outside a lot and were planning a trip to the zoo. I threw it in as we were walking out the door. I'm so glad I did! A few hours into the trip Levi was complaining that he couldn't see the movie because the sun was in his eyes. At first I told him he'd just have to "deal with it" until I remembered my visor. He spent the rest of the trip telling me he needed his "movie hat". (I'm so glad I followed that little voice that told me to bring it!)

Revisiting McDonalds...

When Aaron was not quite 3 years old we took a trip to UT and stopped at this McDonald's for lunch. We let him play in the play place and he absolutely refused to get out when it was time to go. I was very very pregnant with Caleb and could not fit to climb in up after him. Matt has "issues" with heights and wouldn't go get him. So we stood here looking up at him, trying to convince him to come out without making too much of a scene. After about an hour we finally wised up and pretended to leave for the car. When he saw us leaving him -SURPRISE- he came running on out.
This event started our aversion to fast food playgrounds and we did not visit another one for many MANY years. He has now outgrown this play place, but decided we better take a picture of him OUTSIDE of it to remember the stubborn child he once was!

Happy Seth

Seth is such a happy little guy and he LOVES to be outside. The other day I grabbed my camera and had to giggle at his many expressions. In one picture he even has an eyebrow arched! I love that little smile that seems to say, "Watch out, Mom, I'm up to something!"

Ouch!

Kellie learned the hard way that flip flops and bicycles don't mix! The flip flops tripped her up and she fell neck first into her handle bars. Poor girl...

Sunday Afternoon

On Sunday afternoon we took a drive down to the temple and enjoyed walking around the temple grounds. It was such a beautiful day, and a beautiful spot.  There were not many people there either, so it was very peaceful and quiet; a perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. We are so glad we went.

Enjoying the day in a book...

This morning I sent my kids outside and told them to "enjoy the beautiful day." A few minutes later I went out to join them in the back yard and this is what I found. I love that my kids equate enjoying the day with reading a good book!
