Thanksgiving in Roy, UT!

This year our family traveled to Roy to visit my sisters (who both live in Roy), and my brother John, who drove down from Idaho Falls. It was a lot of crazy noisy, fun. In total we had 8 adults and 15 nieces and nephews. Here's some highlights...

KELLIE...
...was in little girl heaven. Since she has 3 brothers at home her supply of pink toys is limited. Don't get me wrong, she still plays with the trains, too, but for a few days I think she absolutely LOVED being surrounded in PINK!

Things That Make Me Smile...

I peeked down the stairs to see Kellie rocking out to Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakuel... she was dancing, shaking her hips and using her best high pitched chipmunk-y voice to try to belt out the following song...

(The BEST part was when she grabbed Caleb's light saber and used it as an air guitar- mid song!)

Where's my video camera when I need it?

(You might have to scroll to the bottom of my blog and pause the music player so you can play the Chipmunk video...)

Miss Kellie is 4!

Four years ago we were so excited to bring a new baby home to join our family. We were quickly introduced to pink blankets, sweet baby hairbows, dresses and baby tights. Kellie was quite the novelty around here, following on the heels of two boys! We are so blessed to have our sweet little girl.

CORN MAZE!

One of our favorite things about living where we do is watching the fields and crops grow and change all season. Our kids especially like watching the corn grow taller and taller as the summer progresses. How lucky we are to live in a region that we get to enjoy ALL the seasons, too. We absolutely love Fall in this house and so we thought it would be a lot of fun to take the kids out to our "local" (by local I mean about a 15 minute drive out of town) CORN MAZE. Aaron really wanted a birthday party this year, but it just didn't work out, so we told him he could invite a good friend to join us instead. We are so glad that Jake could come along! He helped keep the troops spirits up when we got hopelessly lost for a while in the maze. His jokes and happy personality were very much appreciated. Here's some highlights from the day... it really was a fun afternoon with some great kids!

In the MAZE...

POPCORN "SAND BOX"
There was a large area set up as a sand box that the kids could play in, but instead of sand, it was filled with dried corn kernels. The kids really enjoyed playing in there, and they even tried to bury Aaron!

JUMPING PILLOW

That was one BIG pile of HAY!
