Girl Stuff

The consequence of having two boys before we got a girl is that most of our toys are very "BOY" oriented.

Today, I looked over at Kellie and realized that she had a construction worker toy in one hand and Tuck (the WonderPets turtle) in the other hand. She was making kissy noises and having them hold hands as she marched them around the room together, or having them smooch.

She doesn't know the difference between 'boy stuff' and 'girl stuff'- but I have to say I feel a little bad. I might just have to break down and get that girl a Barbie...

sigh...

It's ok! Jill didn't want to be a girl for the longest time when she was little? After many talks about this I finally asked, "Jill, why do you want to be a boy?"

"Because boy toys are so much cooler!"

Whew! Easy to work out!

Try a princess doll thingy. They pretend easier with them when they've seen a movie. Emma looked at her first Barbie and was very excited but then asked what to do with the thing. I hated Barbies as a kid and was not much help.

If this one is a boy, I worry what ply time will be like. LOL

Just for the record- I only had 2 Barbies. They were never a big hit with me either... :)

I would spend hours creating a house for them. designing, arranging, creating. Then when it was done and it was time to play with them, I'd tear it down and start over. Much more fun.
