One Man's Treasure...

Aaron needs your help!
The following picture is all the stuff I found in Aaron's coat tonight as I was going through it before I threw it in the washer. I maintain it's JUNK. Aaron insists it is TREASURE.
I told him I would return the items to him if he could get enough people to agree that his items are indeed worthy of keeping.
Here's the picture and list...

used cheese stick wrapper
elastic "rope"
chewed off pencil eraser tip
pencil ("you'll never know when you might need one, MOM!")
pop off tab from a can
santa "kaleidoscope"
plastic black cat
2 rocks
pink chalk wedge
bit of black construction paper
100th day of school sticker (lint on back)
star sticker (lint on back)
piece of bark
yellow post it note with a treasure map on it
orange glue stick lid
white plastic soda bottle ring
unidentified blue plastic round thingy
piece of used bandaid

Please "vote" on his most prized possessions to see if he gets to keep any of them. Thanks.

Calista collects "treasures" like this too, except she keeps them in specific drawers. I let her keep them because they aren't hurting anything or anyone and they are important to her.

Oh my! That is hilarious! The only thing I was thinking while I was reading that was thank goodness you checked his coat pockets before washing them! What a great mom! Now for the vote...hmmm...that's really a toughie! If I'm voting as a mom, I say it all goes...in the trash (except the kaleidoscope...that's kind of a keeper), but if I'm voting to help a little one's self esteem, I would have to say treasure. This is really tough. Maybe make a deal with him and say he gets to keep one thing?! My vote is meet in the middle and he can keep a certain number of things and the rest goes! Good luck with this one Julie! That's too funny!

Wow, you actually went through all that stuff with him! You are way nicer because in my house it would have probably disappeared and the collecting will begin again.

But since I'm the aunt in this case instead of the mom....

TREASURE!

Oh, and let him eat frosting with a spoon too!

I remember collecting junk and thinking it was treasure when I was little. I say let him keep it but maybe have him put his "treasure" in a "treasure box" instead of his pocket!
