Candyland!

So if you want to stay busy
for several weeks of your life, offer to help with the Winter Wonderland party at your local elementary school. I guarantee they'll keep you busy! :)

This year the theme at our Winter Wonderland event was Candyland and I was put to work on the decorations.

One of my jobs was to decorate the main entrance to look like a gingerbread house...

These are the carnival games...

 each sucker had a colored dot on the bottom of the stick that corresponded with a different prize

 "Plinko"

 "Tootsie roll"- you roll to see who gets the highest #

 DuckPond- each duck has a # on the bottom that corresponds with different prizes

 In this game you try to bounce a small ball off the table and then have it land in the cup

I didn't get pictures of it, but there was also a craft table where the kids made ornaments and pictures with Santa. We also had a hay ride. 

Each child also got to take home a free book when they left to help promote literacy.

Overall, I'd say it was a great day. I know my own kids had a good time. Puts us in the mood for the holidays!
