Coming from Colorado, we are used to snow, but we have learned that Lake Effect snow is so much heavier and wetter than the stuff we're used to. It is also so impossibly beautiful, falling in huge fluffy flakes and clumps. Truly spectacular.
It is also a full time job to clear the stuff. Our latest storm brought us over a foot of snow over a day and a half. Thank heavens for snowblowers.
These icicles are covered in a layer of snow, which makes them appear fuzzy and a little bit "sweater-y".
