Micah, 3 weeks
(Excuse the grumpy baby face- it's been a rough day... He met the Pediatric Dentist for a double frenectomy... surgical lasers are no fun, but neither was being tongue-tied!) Poor baby...

An "awesome" toy...
LEVI: Mom, that is the most AWESOMEST toy EVER. Will you buy it for me?
ME: It is awesome- but no, I don't think so...
LEVI: PLEASE...
ME: No, I don't think so...
LEVI: But I've got to have it- it's SO COOL.
ME: NO, Levi, I don't think so...
LEVI: But I'll use it to pick up all my toys and clean the house...
ME: (pause to think...) SOLD.
(and in case you were wondering, his toys and my floors are in fact picked up...

Backyard Fun
These days I am just not up to going out much farther than my own back yard. I think they still had fun. (Seth was napping in case you're wondering why he isn't in here...)

How we know our Baby is a Boy... by Levi
LEVI: How do we know the baby in your tummy is a boy, Mom?
ME: Well, when they took a picture of him they saw boy parts and not girl parts.
LEVI: So he had short hair like a boy instead of long, down to here (gestures down his shoulders) hair like a girl?
ME: (pauses) Yep, Levi. That's how they knew...
(I love this kid!)

Baby #6 has Chubby Cheeks!
I kind of hesitate to post this picture, because I know ultrasound pictures can be very hard to decipher unless you have someone there to "walk you through it", but considering that this is a 3D image, I figured I'd give it a shot.
For those of you who need a little help- I'll do my best to help. This is baby's face. His forehead is at the top of the picture, his chin is at the bottom. He has a little fist balled up over his eyebrow/forehead to the right, and there is also a bit of the umbilical cord in the lower right, which makes the image there a little fuzzy there. In the middle you can see his eyes, nose, lips, chubby cheeks.and chin.
I am 36+ weeks and they are estimating the "little" guy to be about 7 lbs 4 oz. at this point. (They could be off 1/2 a lb either way.)
Can't wait to meet the little guy soon!

Summertime yet?
This is the last week of school and I think the kids are looking forward to having a break and sleeping in. Levi wasn't sure he wanted to wake up today...
Mother's Day
Matt was called out of town for work on Mother's Day this year. It wouldn't have been so bad but he has been gone for the better part of every week for about 6 weeks now- and it does get kind of tiring, especially with me being very pregnant.
About 7 sweet ladies at church surprised me the Saturday before Mother's Day by bringing a whole days worth of meals over. Breakfast- lunch- dinner- and paper plates too! It was such a thoughtful gift.
That night (about 8:30) and after I already had my pajamas on I was surprised again with a knock at the door. Matt had sent me flowers! (I don't normally answer the door that late, but I figured anybody standing out in the rain holding flowers was probably okay...that and Matt had told me he ordered them and was surprised I hadn't received them. I figured they'd arrive on Monday- so it really was a surprise when they came so late! )
Scaredy-Dog
This Spring we have had our share of thunder storms and this poor dog is such a chicken. We had 3-4 days where she literally would not leave my side, morning or night. You can see the fear in her eyes. Big, lovable 4-legged furry chicken.
Surprise!
Last week I happened to look out my door to see that somebody had planted all 5 of the sad empty pots on my porch. I had every intention of planting them, but with Matt travelling so much I have been so busy that I just never got around to it.
Thank you, whoever surprised us!

Caleb goes Shakespearean!
Today Caleb participated in the School District GT Shakespeare Festival. 200 students from 10 elementary schools gather in the park and perform various Shakespeare plays.
Our school did The Comedy of Errors. I was so impressed that these young kids were able to memorize every line and perform as well as they did. They clearly worked so hard on this.
Caleb was fabulous as Duke Solinus. Bravo!
