Frozen Valentines

On Valentine's Day we decided to get out and go for a drive. We ended up on the peninsula to see the lake. It hasn't completely frozen over yet, but it is frozen for several feet along the shoreline. The frozen water has formed these beautiful ice dunes and we decided we wanted a picture. We hopped out of the car and ran down the beach to snap a pic, not realizing just how very very cold it would be standing there with the wind blowing in off the lake. It was SO SO cold! We got our pic and then ran back to the car lickety-split. (There may have been a bit of shoving to see who could get in the car first.) But we all survived and we have the picture to show for it.

Levi's class made these cool paper bracelets with their handprint on them, so we can always hold their hand, even when they're away. It was so clever and sweet. Loved it!
