I've learned a few things about myself this week.
When I get stressed or upset, I do three things:
First: I cry (a lot) it's not pretty...
Second: I clean my house (a lot)
Third: I cook. (a lot) (it's not that I have an appetite, I just do it to keep my mind off other things.)
This week, I focused my energy on canning. I had a yard full of cucumbers, and hands that needed to be kept busy. Here's the result of many hours of effort:
Cucumber Carrot Sweet Relish (4 jars)
Apple Pie Filling (my favorite!) (9 jars)
Dill Pickle Chips (5 jars)
Dill Pickle Spears (4 jars)
Maple Walnut Syrup(3 jars)Praline Syrup (2 jars)
Thank you, Matt, for all the canning help! Without you, I don't know who I'd get to lift the heavy hot water bath canner or mince countless coucumbers. You really are a gem.
