Memories...

I've seen this on several of my friends' blogs and thought it might be fun to reminisce a bit and take a walk down memory lane. It's been so much fun to catch up with everyone and see what they're up to today! It's also fun remembering the good 'ole times and where I know everyone from! Here we go!
1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I have together. It doesn't matter if you knew me just a little or a lot, anything you remember...
2. Next post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.
It's fun to see what people remember about you and the fun times you've had. If you comment here and leave a memory, I'll come to your blog and leave a memory for you. I'm anxious to hear what you remember!

The main thing I remember is coming to your dorm and sitting on your bed and just chattin' for hours. It was fun! I can't believe that years later here we are kind of related. I do remember you mentioning your brother on different occasions wanting to hook him up with different people. Was he coming home off his mission then or what? Little did I know at the time you were talking about my brother-in-law. Small world huh? Love you Julie!

I was just trying to get the poor boy some dates! I was so smitten with Matt I wanted everyone to be that happy!

A Julie and Janice Memory? Where do I start? Oh, my there are so many.

Let's see...I like the Sprite in you...You can call me Eddie...If Seagulls live by the sea...

I could go on but only Julie really understands, and I could quite possibly embarrass myself.

There is one memory that is quite funny. A long memory, but funny!

When Julie was about 8 or 9, Mom and Dad left Julie, Jordan and I home alone. Julie had been sick and wasn't feeling that great. Julie came and showed us that she had a hang nail on her toe.

Jordan being the classic big brother gasped and said something like, "Oh my gosh! I hope that we can save your toe! We might have to cut the whole thing off.!"

Julie began to cry. I tried to comfort her and explain that Jordan was just teasing her. The whole time Jordan is looking at her toe saying things like, "Nope. I think the toe definitely has to go. Maybe even the whole foot. No, maybe up to the knee..."

Now had she not been sick she probably would have recognized that Jordan was teasing her, but all she did was cry harder. So I picked her up and started a bath for her thinking the bath would relax her and I could clip the offending toe nail and be done with it.

But she just cried harder. I went out to yell at Jordan and along the way I found a small suction cup. I picked it up, walked back to the bathroom, licked it, and stuck it on my forehead. "Look, Julie, you think you have problems! My brain is getting sucked out!"

This produced a huge laugh from Julie and she calmed down enough to let me take care of the toe.

Once that was done, I removed the suction cup. What is the cost of making Julie laugh? I spent the next week trying to fix my hair to cover up the hickie on my forehead left by the suction cup.

If that isn't sisterly love, I don't know what is!

I still say you got me through Jr. High, Jules. You and I would hole up in your room for ages discussing the issues of the teenaged life. when the little stinker next to me in class would make a snide comment about my short hair, I'd lean over and with a sweet smile, very sarcastically say "Nice shoes." It shut them up everytime.
